Shipping policy
Most items are processed, wrapped, and shipped the same day for orders placed before noon Eastern Standard Time or the next business day (not including weekends). You will receive an email from our website with the tracking information once a shipping label is printed for your order if you have yet to receive an email from info.soucouturebsk@gmail.com.
Please check your junk folder if you are still waiting for an order confirmation or tracking number. If you cannot find the email, you can email us, and we can provide the tracking number for the order. If you need guaranteed 1, 2, or 3-day shipping, email us to find the best option for this and ensure it happens. USPS Ground and UPS are anywhere from 1 day to 5 days, depending on your location and distance from Georgia. The delivery time quoted under USPS Priority is for how long the package will be in transit once the package is picked up.
Shipping Quotes:
Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with a cost of shipping quote due to shipping cost being calculated on the packaged purchases, weight, dimensions, destination, and shipping method chosen.
Our website is configured and will provide an estimate by allowing you to select your items for purchase, add those items to your cart, and begin the checkout process by entering the desired shipping address. At that point, you will receive an estimated cost of shipping the selected items in your cart.
Hot Weather Quotes:
Some of our gift baskets have candies and delicacies sensitive to hotter spring, summer, and fall temperatures. Chocolates, marshmallows, and gummy or jelly candies may melt or get sticky during transport in hot or humid environments. To ensure your gift basket selection(s) arrives in pristine condition, “Heat Sensitive,” those gift basket selections will have shipping restrictions during the hot weather months. When placing your order, please keep in mind:
- Temperatures differ from state to state so that shipping restrictions may be in effect for some states but not others.
- Your order is being shipped from our temperature-controlled location in Georgia. We ensure your order is of perfect quality before sealing the package for shipment.
- However, we cannot guarantee that your candy will arrive in perfect condition. For this reason, we do not provide refunds or replacements for products damaged by high temperatures.
- If your order contains a heat-sensitive item, economy shipping will not be offered as an option due to the longer time it will take for your gift basket to arrive in transit.
- Any order containing heat-sensitive items requires the gift basket to be shipped via expedited packaging in an insulated container with an ice pack to protect the candy from melting in heat or humid conditions during transit.
- If an order has any heat-sensitive items and is received on Wednesday through Thursday, the order will require next-day shipping.
- If an order has any heat-sensitive items and is received on Friday or over the weekend, the order will not be shipped until Monday.
- There are no exceptions to the shipping of gift baskets with heat-sensitive items.
Shipping to Hotels and Schools
The sender must specify whether the recipient is a Guest, Employee, or Student or provide the appropriate title or department for the recipient. Because of the high volume of packages delivered to schools and hotels, all applicable address information for the recipient must be provided, including but not limited to room/apartment numbers, suites, floors or building number and/or name, Hotel or School name, etc. Remember that deliveries to hotels, universities, and colleges are typically made to a general mail room. While we can guarantee delivery to the mail room, we cannot be responsible for delivering the gift from the receiving department to the recipient.
Shipped Deliveries:
Please note: Southern Couture Basket can't guarantee delivery dates once deliveries have been processed for delivery with USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Manage or track your shipment using the appropriate shipper services website and use the provided tracking number.
Undeliverable Shipping Addresses:
Southern Couture Basket is unable to ship to PO Boxes or APO Addresses. Additionally, we do not ship Internationally at this time.
Redirected Shipments and Weather Delays
We cannot refund shipping costs for packages that are deemed undeliverable due to the following:
- Incorrect addresses, including omission of suite, apartment, unit, floor or building numbers, etc.
- Adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, etc.
- Civil unrest, labor disputes, work stoppages, or transportation disruptions
- The recipient refuses delivery of the package.
- Incorrect delivery information (include incorrect name or business name, misspelled words, or incomplete information)
- We reserve the right to pass along the additional charge from the shipping carrier for address changes and interception of packages with an additional shipping fee to the ordering customer due to incomplete or incorrect delivery information. At the customer's request, we will re-ship undeliverable or returned packages at the shipper's expense.
Same Day Shipping:
We offer same-day shipping for orders placed by 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. If you have a same-day delivery request after the same-day cut-off, please get in touch with us to see if we can add it to our same-day premium deliveries.
Hotel and Hospital Deliveries:
When your order is delivered to a hotel or hospital, please verify the recipient's discharge/checkout times and make necessary arrangements with the delivery location to ensure delivery to the recipient's room. Southern Couture Basket is not responsible for undeliverable arrangements after deliveries are made; another delivery fee will apply.
Undeliverable Items:
Shipments returned due to an incorrect shipping address will require an additional charge for reshipment. We are not responsible for delays in delivery times due to inaccurate or incomplete addresses. Shipping charges will not be refunded for late deliveries if the business is closed or the package is not available to be received when delivered.
Refusal Deliveries:
Due to the delicate nature of our gift arrangements containing chocolate, we ship with ice packs under warm weather conditions, which protect the chocolate from heat damage until it is delivered. The life span of ice packs is limited; please accept all shipments and store them in a cool, dry place. However, if shipments are refused, we cannot guarantee that the chocolate will not be damaged. If you find a package was damaged while in transit, communicate the damage to the FedEx representative. We will settle any disputes over damage with our carriers and gladly replace any damaged product.
